The Hub is Back!

Our Embroidery group will re-start on Monday January 23rd 9.15 am – 11a m in our Hub room at Clarksfield. New members are welcome so please come and give it a try.  All materials are provided and no experience is required as full support is given from Saira our lovely teacher.

The group have produced many fantastic pieces of artwork during last term and most of the ladies were learning embroidery as a new skill.

Baby Play Time which is run by NHS staff continues every Monday 1.30 – 2.30pm. Any parent/carer and their baby up to 12 months old are welcome. It is a free session in the Hub room and you don’t have to book – just turn up with your baby and enjoy the fun.

Zumba will restart on Tuesday 10th January and Yoga will start back on Thursday 12th January.  Both classes are 9.30 – 10.30 am in the Hub Studio and are free of charge. We welcome everybody to come along and exercise with us in these fun fitness sessions.

Little Hub Time restarts on Thursday 5th January 9-11am. This family friendly session runs twice a week every Tuesday and Thursday morning for babies and toddlers and their Carers. It’s a free session so please call in to enjoy a family playtime and make new friends. Refreshments are provided.

Creative English meets every Friday 9.15am – 10.45am and new members are always welcomed. We practise English conversation in creative ways and have lots of fun. We also plan trips throughout the year and enjoyed a visit to the Christmas Markets in Manchester where we could all practise our spoken English.  The group will start back on Friday 6th January.

Our Men’s Group is run by Azad Hussain who is from our Oasis Hub Council. The group meet every Wednesday at 11.30am for an hour of friendship and a warm place to meet and talk. They have enjoyed seated exercise sessions and shared food together before Christmas. They have plans for more activities in 2023 and welcome new members to call in and meet them.

Thursday 2 – 3pm our Clarksfield Hub volunteer group meet to plan future events. They have worked tirelessly over the last month supporting the School Kitchen with the children’s Christmas Dinner, the School Winter Fair and at the Christmas Hubabaloo where they ran craft tables and cooked and served food. Over 100 children and their families had a hot cooked meal, 4 hours of fun activities and a gift from Santa. New volunteers are welcome.
