Youth trip to Castleshaw

Oldham Hub was offered a free day of activities for 12 young people aged 10-18 by the Castleshaw Centre in Delph.  We took 6 young people from Hollinwood/Limeside and 6 from Leesbrook/Clarksfield.

We had a great day in beautiful sunshine. The activities enjoyed were caving, feeding goats, den building, orienteering and making fires with sparks from flint. The day ended with boiling kettles on the fires to make hot chocolate.

The Instructor from Castleshaw thanked the Hub leaders for bringing such a wonderful group of young people who had great manners and behaviour and had worked well all day. He added it was the best start to the week he could have asked for!

Hub leaders were proud of our young people and how they worked well together and made new friendships.

Easter Family Hubabaloo at Clarksfield.

We had great attendance at Hubabaloo Clarksfield from the local community, welcoming our regulars and new families.

Highlights were a family yoga session, dance and games and a live animal show. We had a varied selection of Easter themed craft activities. Crafts are chosen and led by our team of 20+ Clarksfield Hub volunteers. We are very grateful to our Volunteers, who give up their time beforehand to plan and at Hubabaloo preparing and cooking all the food from scratch for others to enjoy.

We were donated vegetarian chicken style fillets from our volunteer from Quorn vegetarian foods which were given out for families to take home to cook.

We finished with an Easter Scavenger Hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny with a crème egg for all the children.
