The lovely team from Wise Owl Bird of Prey Rescue brought a selection of birds to visit the children. In EYFS we have been learning about nocturnal animals, and owls in particular so the children were very excited to see the owls!

The children enjoyed closely observing real owls and learnt lots of facts and information about the different owls, the names of the owls, the features on their bodies, their different coloured eyes and how the colour of their eyes determine whether they are day, evening or night owls; what they like to eat, where they live etc. The children enjoyed watching the owls fly and lots of them were brave enough to hold an owl independently.
