Builders Arrive Next Week!

We are very excited that the work to renovate our building will be starting next week. This week we have been getting ready for the builders to arrive.

It's been all hands on deck this week to help get classrooms moved and set up elsewhere, cupboards emptied and resources stored in their new homes!

Miss Falconer's classroom is one of the first to be affected by the building work, so her class will be moving upstairs for the next few months. Staff and students have been helping her to create her new classroom ready for her children to move into on the first day back after the holidays.

Miss Iqbal's room is also having to be emptied and she is moving into an old office upstairs. The children in her group have been a fabulous help, moving all of their books and equipment into the new room and helping her to create new displays.

Some Year 6 children have been working with Mr Prendergast, Mrs Kazmi and Mrs Khokar to empty one of our stock cupboards and move all of the stock into another cupboard. They worked really well as a team and somehow managed to squeeze lots of things into our cupboard upstairs, it was like a game of tetris, but they persevered!

Builders will arrive on site next week to start to set up their site in preparation for the building work to start. Keep an eye out over the holidays for the vans arriving and some cabins popping up on the pitch!

It is a really exciting time for us here at OA Clarksfield, we will keep you up to date with weekly updates here as the build progresses.
