Find out what our in school bubbles of children did on Wednesday
Clever Cats Bubble
The Clever Cats enjoyed using the iPads today, to find and gather information together about their favourite Big Cat. They then started to create a poster with their pictures and facts. The children also enjoyed some Cosmic Kids Yoga.
Today we revised two step word problems in Maths, and looked at conjunctions in English. Then we did some junk modelling to make a car.
Shooting Stars Bubble
Shooting Stars bubble have continued to learn about minibeasts today, with a particular focus on learning about spiders. We looked at a powerpoint presentation all about spider facts and about the life cycle of a spider, discussed what we could see in the images and learnt new language and vocabulary about spiders such as ‘spiderlings’ and ‘exoskeleton’. We labelled a picture of a spider’s body, sequenced pictures to show the life cycle, looked on the internet for fun facts about spiders, and searched for images of spiders. We then combined all of this work and learning to create a large poster/fact sheet about things we had learnt. After all that hard work we enjoyed a bit of free time playing some online maths games using the I pads and scanning QR codes.
In the afternoon we listened to a range of spider themed stories, joined in with one of Miss Falconer’s phonics lessons, and enjoyed dancing to ‘Banana Banana Meatball’ on Go Noddle. We also made a moving split pin spider and drew our own pictures of spiders. Finally we practised our threading skills by creating a paper plate spider’s web for our spider representations to sit on J
We have had a really fun day again and are looking forward to learning about ladybirds tomorrow
