Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community

Aspirations Week 2019

Aspirations Week 2019

During our Aspirations Week, children throughout our Academy were given an opportunity to find out about the different career options open to them in the future.

Many visitors (some from the local community) came into the Academy to deliver exciting, fun-filled workshops linked to the world of work.  These visitors include:  Debbie, Abrahams (MP for East Oldham and Saddleworth, the Mayor of Oldham, Councillor Ginny Alexander and the Mayor’s Consort, Adrian Alexander, Computing Reddy, KH Flooring, the award-winning author of Anisha’s Adventures and Galliford Try Construction. They delivered short presentations the children, explaining their job roles, and also discussed the various options that await the children in the world of work.

Some of the children also went out and about, visiting the MAHDLO Centre, while others took part in Oldham’s School Linking Project.

We really hope that Aspirations Week will give our children an understanding of what they could aspire to in years to come, both in terms of further education and future careers, and that they will go on to realise their potential and fulfil their aspirations for the future.
