Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community

Behaviour & Rewards

At Clarksfield Primary School we have high expectations of children's behaviour and have adopted the 'Good to be Green' positive behaviour management strategy. We have a set of Golden Rules which are known to the children and reinforced by all adults in the school. These are:

  • Be Gentle
  • Respect Property
  • Work Hard
  • Be Honest
  • Be Kind and Helpful
  • Always Listen

We want children to enjoy coming to school and to feel valued and safe. Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated and we request parents' and carers' support in encouraging children to report any incidents which occur so that these can be dealt with swiftly and effectively.

Racially Motivated Incidents

As a school, we are bound to report racially motivated incidents (RMI) to Oldham Education Authority. This is to help them and the other civil authorities to develop community cohesion and to help areas of the borough that may exhibit higher levels of RMIs than others. If your child is involved in an RMI, then you will be notified by letter so that you can discuss with them what has happened. We are a school who pride ourselves on acceptance of everyone regardless of creed, colour or gender, and would ask for your full support as parents and carers in this.

Achievement Assembly

Each Friday at 9.05am we hold our weekly achievement assembly in the school hall. Parents, grandparents & carers are welcome to join us in our celebrations. The assembly usually finishes by 10.05am
